Adrian Middle/High School

Cate Koehne, Principal

The Adrian Dragons Middle School and High School is embedded in the middle of the community of Adrian and houses approximately 350 students in grades 6-12.  It is our mission to provide our students with life-long learning that is challenging, enjoyable, safe and valuable.  The commitment and pride on education from the communities that make up Adrian Schools, educators, the local school board, parents, and students helps us provide our students with quality educational and extra-curricular opportunities.

Adrian Middle School  (grades 6 – 8)

At the middle school, students in grades 6-8 take traditional academic classes such as Reading/Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, Math and Health/Physical Education.  In addition to these courses, our middle school students have enrichment classes in  Music, Family Consumer Science, Business Applications, Math, Spanish and Industrial Technology. Students in grades 6 – 8 have a wonderful opportunity to practice reading independently with the use of the online Accelerated Reader Program.

The Power of ICU (Intensive Care Unit), which is wrapped around the theme "Every Student Will Complete Every Assignment”, is utilized at the middle school, which helps us to continue to create a healthy school culture focused on student learning and accountability.

As we prepare our students to become 21st Century Learners, we incorporate technology into every aspect of education. We use Chromebook devices within the learning environment to allow students access to resources that extend beyond our school setting.  Educators and students use Google Suite Tools, including Google Mail, Google Classroom, and Google Drive, to create an online College and Career Readiness portfolio, which helps students better prepare for a career or college path after graduation.
